Create a Portable Gift Wrap Organizer

'Tis the season for gift giving, and that means gift wrapping too!

Are you tired of sorting through a tangled mess of ribbons, bows and scraps of paper every time you need to wrap a gift? Would you like to add a personal touch to your gift, but unsure of where you put those cute gift wrap embellishments?

If everything is all spread out in different places around your home, and every time you need to wrap a gift you have to go searching through a bunch of different messy bins to find the supplies you need, it might be time to create a portable gift wrap organizer.

The supplies needed to create this portable wrapping station are inexpensive and easy to find.

I chose to make mine by using an under the bed box that is 37" long by 22" wide. I can tuck it away under the bed when it's not in use but it is also portable which makes it easy to wrap gifts away from prying eyes.

Once I collected my rolls of wrapping paper, I added a few inexpensive shoe bins to the under the bed box. I filled these smaller bins with an assortment of ribbons and bows, tissue paper, embellishments, gift tags, tape and scissors.

Tip #1: Stock up on transparent tape. It seems that you always run out at the most inopportune time.

Tip #2: Use a desktop tape dispenser so you can get a piece of tape using one hand while the other hand holds your wrapping in place.

I also keep a little container of paper clips in my gift wrap organizer; I use these to clip on my rolls of wrapping paper so that they don't unravel in the bin.

By keeping everything in one place it makes it easy to see what I have and what I need to stock up on.
